Benbridge WhippetsWe were first introduced to Whippets in March 2006. Lynda Watson from Shenace Kennels, www.shenace.co.nz, brought a cute baby puppy around to our house and we instantly fell in love with him, that young baby puppy was our own handsome Ben (CH. Shenace Parades in Public). We went to our first show in With the fun we were having we decided to get a second Whippet. This is when Merle Powley from Shenkhan Kennels, www.angelfire.com/blues/shenkhan, introduced us to our sweet natured Riley (CH. Shenkhan Whimzical Wizard) in May 2007. Riley has given us some great wins since he joined our team, at the Horowhenua Championship Shows in January 2008 he was awarded his first three challenge certifies, two from the All Breeds show and one from the Wellington Hound Club show. Since then Riley has gone on to win multiple Best of Breeds and Group wins. Our boy was also awarded Puppy in Show at the Whippet Club Championship Show under Whippet Specialist judge George Kostopoulus - In March 2008 at the Auckland Hound Club show we got given the opportunity to take home our third Whippet, our little princess Bridget (BIS. CH. Beesholme Kiss N Run) thanks to her breeder Jackie Howell from Beesholme Kennels, www.whippet.co.nz Since Bridget has hit the show ring she has achieved multiple Baby Puppy of Groups, Puppy of Breeds and Best Bitches. As a puppy she has gone on to win multiple Group wins including Best and Reserve of Groups along with multiple Best of Breeds and challenge certificates as well as three Best Puppy in Shows. At the age of 14 months Bridget achieved her Championship tile and then only a few weeks after that was awarded Best in Show at the Wellington Hound Club show under Mrs. S Rennie -
